Blog Hop: Banned Books Week

Welcome to my stop along the Banned Books Week Hop, Hosted by I Am Reader Not Writer and I Read Banned Books. You can read all about banned and challenged books on the ALA website here.

I chose to participate in this hop because I do not believe that anyone has the right to tell me what I can and cannot read. I have always had a little rebellious streak, so the idea of reading something that I should not read has appeal. Some of my favorite books are books that are frequently challenged or banned by schools.

So what can you win from me?

Option #1: Choice of one of my favorite banned books
Catcher in the Rye
The Giver
To Kill a Mockingbird

Option #2: Any book of your choice (up to $10) that has been banned or challenged. I will be purchasing this from amazon.com.

Entering is easy. Just tell me if you read banned books and why or why not. I will be randomly selecting a winner at the end of the hop, so make sure you include your e-mail address so I can contact you. No extra entries. US only please. The hop ends October 1 at midnight (EST).

Make sure you visit the other stops along the hop. Happy hopping and happy reading.
